Conference “French contract law and international commercial arbitration”, University of Besançon, 17 November 2016

Louis Thibierge will intervene on 17 November 2016 in the conference “French contract law and international commercial arbitration” organized by the University of Besançon, in partnership with the Chambre arbitrale internationale de Paris, the Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris, and the Comité Français de l’Arbitrage.

The conference will address the perspectives and future developments of the new French contract law as law applicable to an international arbitration.  It will, notably, examine how the new French contract law receives the Unidroit Principles, the general principles of lex mercatoria and the European contract law principles, the Vienna Convention on the international sale of goods, as well as recently codified or re-codified foreign laws.

More specifically, Louis Thibierge will intervene on the subject of force majeure.
